Duke University’s Forum for Scholars and Publics will host a lunch conversation with Howard University professor, scholar, and author Sonja Williams alongside SNCC veteran and Duke University SNCC Visiting Activist-Scholar Charlie Cobb The conversation will center around pioneering African American radio journalist Richard Durham, the subject of Williams’ new book, Word Warrior: Richard Durham, Radio, and Freedom. Hear an example of Durham’s radio work on Destination Freedom: Little David.

This event is free and open to the public; lunch served beginning at 11:45 a.m.
