“I had experiences that none of my friends who went to art school had,” said Posehn. “The multiplicity of people at Duke, compared to an art school, is a really incredible thing. You can interact with so many professors, researchers and graduate students. I learned to approach problems in different ways, from a much more broad and multifaceted perspective than would have been available to me elsewhere.”

Kristin Posehn is an artist and writer based in Los Angeles. She received a Ph.D. in Sculpture from the Winchester School of Art, Winchester, UK, held a two year research and production residency at the Van Eyck, Maastricht, NL, and was awarded the Hermine Van Bers Art Prize, NL, 2009. She was a Visiting Tutor at the Ruskin School of Painting and Drawing, Oxford University, UK, for 2010. Her work was recently anthologized in Imagine Architecture, published by Gestalten, Berlin, 2014.
