January 16: London-Based Let’s All Be Free Film Festival Comes to CDS

On January 16, the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS) will host the London-based Let’s All Be Free Film Festival in its first international showcase at the Full Frame Theater in Durham, NC. The LABFFF–founded by CDS Continuing Education alum Tariq Nasir—is an annual event that explores and celebrates what it means to be free, screening a diverse selection of short fiction, documentary and expressions films from across the globe. Tickets for the festival showcase at CDS can be found here; refreshments will be provided.

The upcoming event will showcase the best from the 2015 festival held in London, including:

  • World Premiere of the new experimental dance film, From Here
  • The best films from LABFFF 2015, including: Epicly Palestine’dBecky’s Journey and Kettle
  • A panel discussion and audience Q&A about the different types of freedom portrayed in the films shown
