Photographs, posters, and texts from the Literacy Through Photography project in Arusha, Tanzania are on view at CDS through January 8, 2011. A reception for the exhibit, with a talk by Katie Hyde, will take place on October 21. A panel discussion about the exhibition will be held on November 4.

First-year Duke University student Brandon Putnam interviews Katie Hyde, Director of the Literacy Through Photography program, about the LTP-Arusha project. In this video clip, Hyde explains how a teacher and students in Arusha, Tanzania used LTP methodology to reinforce concepts in a math class.
