“Whether in or out of the water, the series works with wonder and with purpose, and that is a winning combination. It is held tightly together by the grace of humor, awe, and consistent style that hold out promise for the work’s completion.”—Anthony Bannon

Sport funding in the United Kingdom increased dramatically as a result of winning the 2012 Olympic bid. With the London Olympics looming and with the knowledge that the eyes of the world will soon be upon the nation, much of this funding has been used to identify exceptional youth talent and train them intensively into an army of potential Olympians. Since 2008, I’ve been following the British junior diving team in Sheffield.

Olympic Dreams explores the pressures and expectations, both mental and physical, placed on these young shoulders; the series will follow the divers to August 2012 and beyond.
